What Motivates You to Achieve Your Fitness Goals?

In Jersey City, a melting pot of cultures and backgrounds, the pursuit of fitness is a shared journey influenced by the community’s diversity. With nearly 292,449 residents, Jersey City is home to a vibrant mix of ethnicities, including 28.7% White, 21.5% Black, 25.8% Asian, and 25.7% Hispanic or Latino individuals. This rich tapestry shapes our motivations and goals, especially in fitness.

At Four Fitness, which has served the community for over 11 years, we understand that motivation can come from various sources. Whether it’s fitting into a new bathing suit, preparing for a special event, or simply striving for better health, having a clear reason to pursue fitness is essential. New Jersey’s adult obesity rate stands at 27.7%, emphasizing the importance of addressing fitness and health in our community.

Our approach focuses on engaging the community through initiatives like our free class every Wednesday at 7 PM, providing accessible opportunities for everyone. We emphasize the 4MMG system created by Marcosco Morrison to target larger muscle groups in the legs, core, back, and chest—ensuring workouts are both effective and calorie-burning.

Furthermore, we advocate for compound movements and functional training that mimic daily activities, fostering strength and endurance. As Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman aptly puts it, “Everybody wants to be big but don’t wanna lift heavy ass weights.”

So, my question remains: what motivates you? Is it achieving a personal goal, a special occasion, or simply the desire for a healthier lifestyle? How can Four Fitness continue to be your go-to choice for holding you accountable? At Four Fitness, we’re here as your accountability partner, committed to helping you reach your goals effectively and efficiently. Join us in this journey toward better health and fitness!
